St. Croix Tribal Elder Food Box Program

TRIBAL ELDER FOOD BOX PROGRAM There will be free distributions of local, traditional foods to tribal elders July-December 2022. Please bring your Tribal ID to pick up your free food box! Each box contains proteins, produce, and shelf-stable items that are sourced from Indigenous and non-Indigenous local producers. The food will represent traditional foods whenever possible. Live Paychecks – Delayed

The box containing our live paychecks and check stubs is delayed due to a UPS airplane mechanical last night. The box will arrive tomorrow morning around 9am into Rice Lake, where someone from Payroll will pick them up. Early Release and Closure 6/30 – 7/1

The tribal council has granted an early release at noon today for all tribal government staff, but the tribal clinic will stay open until 4:30p today. All tribal operations including the tribal clinic will be closed tomorrow. Please inform all clients of the closure. General Membership Meeting – CANCELED

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the General Meeting for Wednesday 06/15/2022 at 5pm in the St. Croix Tribal Center Gymnasium has been canceled. The meeting will be rescheduled, a new date will be announced soon. Please share with others who may not have Tribal emails.

Food Distribution Facelift

The Food Distribution warehouse and office spaces were given a facelift! Construction on the building began in November 2021. Delays in materials lengthened the process, but construction was wrapped up in February 2022. Food Distribution employees include Director Jake Reynolds (2014), Warehouse Supervisor Nate Schaefer (2017), and Program Supervisor Teana Merrill (2019).
