St. Croix Tribal Elder Food Box Program

There will be free distributions of local, traditional foods to tribal elders July-December 2022. Please bring your Tribal ID to pick up your free food box! Each box contains proteins, produce, and shelf-stable items that are sourced from Indigenous and non-Indigenous local producers. The food will represent traditional foods whenever possible. The boxes average 20 lbs and are free to a Tribal Elder with Tribal ID.

The project is funded by Feeding Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection ARPA grant and a Feeding American National grant.

Distribution locations include Danbury, Maple Plain, and Round Lake Community Centers and the St. Croix Tribal Health Clinic. Dates for distribution are July 14th, August 11th, September 8th, October 13th, November 17th, and December 15th. Please contact your Community Coordinator or the Tribal Clinic for additional information.
