The St. Croix Tribal Behavioral Health Clinic is an outpatient mental health and substance use treatment clinic certified by the State of Wisconsin.

Behavioral Health

We integrate our culturally-informed understanding of the person within the family and community with the use of evidence-based therapy practices. Our licensed clinicians are experienced in treating both mental health and substance use issues. Our interdisciplinary care team consists of licensed clinicians and supervisors in the fields of clinical social work, professional counseling, psychology, psychiatry, and addictions.

Our Mission is to assist the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin by promoting and achieving lifestyles and communities that are safe, sober, and healthy by identifying and building on the strengths of individuals and communities and by encouraging hope for the next seven generations.

St. Croix Tribal Behavioral Health Clinic is a tribally operated, integrated outpatient substance use and mental health treatment clinic certified by the State of Wisconsin. Our experienced providers take an integrated, relational approach to recovery, addressing any co-occurring addiction and mental health issues at the same time.

Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment

With addiction or mental health issues, it is important to take a holistic approach to treat the whole person. Our providers focus on helping community members re-establish balance in their lives. We will work with you to identify your personal strengths and resiliency to overcome obstacles that interfere with a healthy, productive life. We take an integrated, relational approach to recovery, addressing any co-occurring addiction and mental health issues at the same time.

  • Mental Health or Substance Use Assessments (not OWI Assessments)
  • Mental Health Psychotherapy & Substance Use Counseling or Integrated Therapy for Adults
  • Child Therapy (ages 5 and up)

  • Coordination with Medication Management & Medication-Assisted Treatment Services (including Vivitrol/Naltrexone for Opioid and Alcohol Addiction and Suboxone and Sublocade for Opioid Addiction)

    Ana Winton

    Behavioral Health Director/Clinician

    Ana has fifteen years of experience providing mental health and addiction treatment services in outpatient settings and community programs. She is skilled in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and children as young as four years. She uses a compassionate, strength-based approach to empower clients to move toward greater health, effectiveness, and life satisfaction. Ana enjoys time with family, friends, and her dog, hiking in the woods, beach days at Lake Superior, and clothing design.

    Masters in Addiction Studies, Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies
    Evidence-based techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Twelve Step and Matrix Model.

    Jen has over eleven years of experience in the addiction field working with patients in detox, residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. Jen has worked as a clinical case manager, utilization reviewer, and manager of admissions at a substance abuse treatment facility. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and aging adults.
    Jen has also taught at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies and is currently working on obtaining her LPC license. In her free time, Jen enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors biking, running, kayaking, agate hunting, snowmobiling, and connecting with nature. She is an avid cat lover and has three cats named Trouble, Weasel, and Herb.

    Alysia has eleven years of experience working with individuals with chronic mental health and addiction issues. She has had a lifelong passion for helping people, from the time she served in the Army as a combat medic, to supporting those experiencing a mental health crisis. She has a passion for using Equine Supported Activities to help military Veterans and families.
    Alysia uses a mindfulness counseling approach.

    Stacy has six years of experience providing recovery support to the community. She loves her job at the St. Croix Tribal Health Clinic, where she coordinates residential treatment and transitional or sober living for St. Croix Tribal community members seeking help for opioid and/or stimulant use disorders. As a volunteer, founder, and Board President of the nonprofit We Support Recovery, Stacy coordinates monthly sober events and supervises a recovery coaching and harm reduction program. In addition, she and her husband provide long term sober living for four families in recovery. Stacy enjoys hiking, canoeing and kayaking, skiing, and snowshoeing.

    Special Interests: Recovery support; reunification of families through recovery; spiritual support; equine-based therapy; and compassionate care and support of adults and children experiencing trauma and loss.

    Jenny has more than five years of experience working with individuals struggling with addiction, mental health issues, and physical disabilities. Past work roles have included serving as an addiction recovery technician, a personal care assistant for individuals with mental illness, and a technical writer/interactive course designer. Jenny’s hobbies and interests include musical performance, her hobby farm, horses, and spending time with her grandsons.
