  • Accounting / Finance / Tax Commission

    Administration, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Audit, Payroll, and Per Capita.

  • Administration

    The Tribal Administration department is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Tribal Government.

  • Benefits

    The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin offer employee benefits to all full time employees, assist with enrollment, provide updates, answer questions.

  • Construction

    The St. Croix Heavy Equipment & Construction Enterprise does contract work for hauling and all other elements of road construction.

  • Education

    The St. Croix Tribal Education Department provides learners of all ages access to a variety of educational opportunities.

  • Elder Care

    We provide in-home care to ensure our mobility and physically limited Tribal Elders can continue their golden years in the comforts of their home.

  • Emergency Management

    The St. Croix Tribal/Hertel Fire Department is completely staffed with volunteers. SCTHFD responds to emergencies on the St. Croix Reservation in addition to portions of Sand Lake, Dewey, and LaFollette Townships.

  • Enrollment

    The St Croix Tribal Enrollment Office issues Tribal Identification cards, Certificate of Indian Blood (CDIB), processes applications for enrollment, family trees, tribal member verifications, and other duties pertaining to tribal membership.

  • Environmental & Natural Resources

    The St. Croix Environmental and Natural Resources Department operates mainly through grant funding from federal and state agencies.

  • Fire Department

    The St. Croix Tribal/Hertel Fire Department is completely staffed with volunteers. SCTHFD responds to emergencies on the St. Croix Reservation in addition to portions of Sand Lake, Dewey, and LaFollette Townships.

  • Grants

    The St. Croix Tribal Grants Department works with tribal departments, program directors, staff, and community members to: plan program initiatives, design projects, and identify funding opportunities.

  • Head Start

    The St. Croix Tribal Head Start is FREE for eligible families, serves children who are 3 or 4 years old as of September 1st.

  • Higher Education Opportunities

    St. Croix Tribal Higher Education provides resources and support for youth and adults seeking to expand their horizons through GED, Certificate Programs, Technical Education, College, and Universities.

  • Housing

    The St. Croix Tribal Housing Authority’s mission is to provide low-income Native American families, Tribal elders, and Tribal members with disabilities, safe, energy-efficient sustainable homes.

  • Human Resources & Payroll

    The Human Resources Department supports the Tribe by managing employee relations, staffing, training, and policy administration.

  • Intergovernmental Affairs

    The Office of Intergovernmental Affairs ensures that the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin’s interests are represented, coordinated, and monitored at the local, state, and federal government levels.

  • IT

    The IT Department possesses numerous responsibilities including managing and tuning in-house software systems and network connections.

  • Legal

    The St. Croix Tribal Legal Department represents the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin in all proceedings before federal, state, and tribal courts.

  • Maintenance

    The St. Croix Tribal Maintenance Team is tasked with the daily repairs and sanitation of all St. Croix Tribal Government Buildings and Grounds.

  • Police

    The St. Croix Tribal Police Department, located on the Sand Lake Community, provides a community policing approach with an emphasis on quality of life.

  • Registration and Conservation

    The mission of the St. Croix Tribal Registration and Conservation Department is to protect and restore traditional foods, medicines, and spiritual resources in order to support the culture of the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin.

  • Roads

    The St. Croix Tribal Roads Department operates out of The Delores Staples Roads and Transportation Facility.

  • School Liaisons/JOM & Title VI

    St. Croix Tribal Education serves 6 school districts including Siren, Webster, Unity, Spooner, Shell Lake, and Cumberland.

  • Shipping & Receiving

    The St. Croix Tribal Shipping & Receiving Department oversees and manages Tribal Government Purchases.

  • TRAILS

    The TRAILS Program serves youth and families with positive activities related to celebrating culture, empowering youth, promoting Traditional Native American Lifeways and providing prevention education.

  • Tribal Historic Preservation

    The St. Croix Tribal Historic Preservation Department was established in 2000 for the protection and preservation of cultural and historical resources on the St. Croix Reservation Lands.

  • Truancy

    It is our goal in Truancy to provide the resources to parents and schools to help our youth become as strong as they can academically.

  • Utilities

    The Tribal Utilities Department manages, operates, and maintains the water and wastewater systems for The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin in the Sand Lake, Danbury, and Maple Plain Communities.

  • Veterans Affairs

    AMVETS is a National Veterans Organization. In the early 1990s, Tribal Member Teddy Nelson worked diligently to spearhead the development of an AMVETS Post in the St. Croix Community.

  • Vocational Rehabilitation

    Vocational Rehabilitation for Native Americans will develop and deliver vocational support to eligible Native Americans /Alaskan Natives with disabilities living in the defined service area.

  • YES Program

    The TRAILS Program serves youth and families with positive activities related to celebrating culture, empowering youth, promoting Traditional Native American Lifeways and providing prevention education.

  • Youth Council

    St. Croix Tribal Youth ages 14-17 are invited to join the St. Croix Tribal Youth Council. Members of Youth Council engage in opportunities related to Positive Youth Development, building leadership skills, and supporting their communities.

  • Youth Programs

    St. Croix Tribal Education provides a variety of youth and family programming including the St. Croix Tribal Youth Council, TRAILS Program, and Summer YES Program.
