Rooted in Tradition,
Guided by Sovereignty
The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin are proud descendants of the Anishinaabe people, bound by heritage, guided by our traditions, and united in the pursuit of a strong and sovereign future.
Our Story, Our Strength
For centuries, we have called the lands and waters of the St. Croix River Valley our home. Today, our mission remains steadfast—to protect our sovereignty, honor our ancestors, and ensure the well-being of our Tribal members for generations to come.
Leadership Committed to the People
The Tribal Council is elected by our members to serve as stewards of our sovereignty and protectors of our rights. They lead with the wisdom of our elders, the vision of our youth, and the voice of the people.
Elected Leadership
A democratically elected body that guides policy, upholds our constitution, and ensures the needs of our members are met.
Open Door Commitment
Our leaders are committed to transparency, accountability, and fostering community engagement.
Our Constitution
The St. Croix Chippewa Constitution is the foundation of our governance, defining our rights, responsibilities, and the structure of our Tribal government.
Preserving Our Past for the Next Seven Generations
Our Historic Preservation Department protects the sacred sites, cultural landscapes, and traditional knowledge that tell the story of our people.
Cultural Resources
Safeguarding burial sites, artifacts, and traditional places with deep cultural and spiritual significance.
Education & Outreach
Sharing our history and traditions with Tribal members, youth, and the public to ensure our culture remains vibrant.
Meeting & Event Schedule
