The St. Croix Tribal Housing Authority’s mission is to provide low-income Native American families, Tribal elders, and Tribal members with disabilities, safe, energy-efficient sustainable homes.

The St. Croix Chippewa Housing Authority is a low-income based Housing Authority that provides safe and decent rental homes for St.Croix Tribal Members. The St. Croix Housing Authority is guided in their work by a 5-member Resident Council Board elected to represent the interests and needs of residents in the Housing Authority decision making.

The St. Croix Tribal Housing Authority has been an active organization overseeing the housing needs of the St. Croix Tribe for over forty years. The housing authority works to develop, operate and maintain rental homes and apartments with federal grant funding from HUD and other federal programs when available. The Housing Authority also maintains Tribal homes with funding provided by the St. Croix Tribe, and they can provide maintenance and services to Tribal members living off reservation lands.

The St. Croix Chippewa Housing Authority provides many services for their residents including; energy assistance, emergency services, rental assistance, referral to outside resources and partner agencies, rental assistance for college students, snow removal, wood for heating, handyman services, and lawn care assistance for elder and disabled residents.
