St. Croix Aanji House
Aanji means “time for change” or “changing” in Ojibwemowin.
St. Croix Aanji House provides a safe, supportive, sober living environment for individuals who have found recovery from substance use and are seeking stable housing, resources, and continued support following treatment.
Rooted in the Red Road, St. Croix Aanji House promotes long-term recovery through a combination of peer support, skill building, cultural practices, personal responsibility, and community connection. The program incorporates best practices outlined by NARR/WASH standards while honoring the individual needs, rights, and experiences of each resident.
Residents are encouraged to take an active role in their recovery and in the Aanji House community. Through leadership opportunities, shared governance, and the social model of recovery, residents develop the skills and confidence needed to maintain long-term recovery and build healthy relationships with family, peers, and the broader community.

St. Croix Aanji House provides a healthy, home-like environment where residents can focus on healing, growth, and positive change. The program fosters recovery engagement, positive social behaviors, relationship-building skills, a sense of belonging, and accountability.
Aanji House maintains a consistent, safe environment that is free from alcohol and illicit mood-altering substances, allowing residents to focus on their recovery while building a strong foundation for a healthy and fulfilling future.
