The St. Croix Chippewa Housing Authority promotes safe and healthy living. The Housing Maintenance Staff provides tenants with all aspects of home repairs.

Job Description

The Housing Maintenance Staff are responsible to complete work orders and directives, in a timely manner.  Honesty and accountability are key components to success for the Housing Program.  Emergency Maintenance/On Call rotation is bi-weekly, including nights and weekends.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform and complete Work Orders and directives in a timely manner, including accurate documentation of work performed, materials and time allocated to the completion of work orders.
  • Ability to perform HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry related repairs
  • Mileage Log & Vehicle Maintenance Completion
  • Completion of Work Log Completion
  • On-Call off hour’s rotation
  • Vehicle Equipment Inventory
  • Materials & Supplies Use Weekly Report

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in the field at SCCHA Home environments and may require lifting up to 50 pounds and periodic travel

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Relevant experience and key skills in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry construction and repair skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to assess customer and business needs and formulate plan of action. Able to identify potential issues and proactively contain and manage challenges.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and managers.
  • Needs commitment to timeliness and attention to detail for acceptable customer service.
  • Requires St. Croix Chippewa Housing Authority Signed Vehicle and Equipment Use Agreement.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License and be insurable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 Year Technical Degree
  • Experience with HUD inspection standards, under the National Standards for Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE)

  • Reports to: SCCHA Housing Maintenance Supervisor
  • Supervises: None
