Supporting Youth Through Education and Guidance
The YES Program is a Career Exploration and Cultural Education program for youth ages 14-17 who are tribal members, descendants or non-Native youth who have parents/guardians that are employed through the St. Croix Tribe. The program includes 6 weeks of career exploration and education for which youth receive a monetary stipend based on participation.
Career Exploration Days takes place two days per week through job-shadowing and experiential learning within Tribal Departments and Local Businesses. Education Days take place once per week during which youth participate in workshops and presentations related to career readiness, college readiness, Treaty Rights, cultural arts, personal finance, and more.
The YES Program is dedicated to empowering our youth by providing essential resources and support. Our mission is to foster personal growth, academic achievement, and community involvement. Through various initiatives, we aim to inspire the next generation of leaders within the St. Croix Chippewa Tribe.
