Thank you to the St. Croix Tribal Police Department, Burnett County Sheriff’s Office, Siren School District’s Title VI Native American Coordinator Tara Voss, and the School District of Siren students for their donation of handmade tie blankets for Tribal elders.
Tara Voss and students in her Indigenous Arts class made bags full of beautiful, warm blankets and presented them to the Elder Care Department on Monday, December 5th. The Elder Care Department will be bringing them to the December 13th Elder Luncheon in Turtle Lake as raffle prizes for lucky elder attendees! The funding source for the blanket materials was a grant partnership between St. Croix Tribal PD and the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office. THANK YOU!
