St. Croix Tribal Council Proclaims May 5th a Day to Draw Attention To MMIW.

Native American Tribes, communities and activists have been marking May 5th as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIW, or MMIWG, or MMIWG2ST) day since 2017, and April 29-May 5th as the National Week of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.  This year, through resolution, The St. Croix Tribal Council joined with many other Tribes, organizations, and the US Federal Government in proclaiming May 5th as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day.  This day is […]
